Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commissioning System Responsible – Process Chemical Systems to join the Valhall PWP project. This position is responsible for the planning, management, and execution of completion and commissioning activities related to the process and chemical systems on the platform. The role is fully mobile with a base location at the Stord site and will play a key part in ensuring that all systems are safely and efficiently handed over to operations.
General Job Description
The Commissioning System Responsible for Process Chemical Systems will lead the commissioning certification and handover process in accordance with the Project Completion Strategy for all assigned systems. The position is responsible for ensuring end-to-end ownership of relevant process systems, from preparation through execution and final handover to the Asset Operations team, maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
Key Responsibilities
The role includes overall responsibility for all completion and commissioning activities related to the assigned process systems. This includes executing commissioning activities as directed by the Commissioning Discipline Lead, verifying that construction field installations are carried out in accordance with design drawings, ISO standards, and P&IDs, and participating in check-out and verification activities in line with the RFCC handover process. The position requires planning and facilitation of both static and dynamic commissioning activities and coordination with multiple stakeholders across commissioning execution and pre-operations disciplines.
The Commissioning System Responsible will also participate in planning meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment between operations, maintenance, contractors, and suppliers. Daily reporting to the Commissioning Discipline Lead is required to maintain accurate status and progress tracking. The role involves updating master dossiers for P&ID red-line markups, valve and blinding lists, and ensuring the collection and organization of all documentation required for RFOC handover.
The position also contributes process input to overall completion strategy and planning, manages ATS personnel and other resources providing services and materials for process system commissioning, and provides leadership and technical direction to the process commissioning team. Additional responsibilities include witnessing contractor and supplier FAT/SAT tests, developing and reviewing commissioning procedures, implementing the commissioning scope, and ensuring a seamless transition from project to operations.
Qualification Requirements
Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or possess equivalent education and experience. Previous experience with Valhall operations or similar offshore commissioning projects will be considered a strong advantage.
