Project Completion Engineer – PIMS Work Preparation Lead

We are seeking an experienced Project Completion Engineer (PIMS Work Preparation Lead) to join our team on a major offshore project based in Stord. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the preparation and quality assurance of work packs within the Project Information Management System (PIMS). This role plays a key part in ensuring that all work packs are developed, reviewed, and approved in accordance with project milestones, technical requirements, and completion strategies.

Reporting to the Offshore Hook-up Manager, the Work Prep Lead will serve as a central interface between engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations to ensure readiness for execution and seamless handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of work pack preparation in PIMS for the hook-up scope of the offshore topside.
• Coordinate with fabrication and engineering teams to facilitate data transfer from design systems to PIMS, ensuring accurate scope transition from onshore to offshore.
• Ensure work packs are complete, accurate, and compliant with project procedures and standards.
• Collaborate closely with discipline engineers, construction leads, and commissioning teams to gather and validate required input.
• Monitor progress and report on work pack readiness, identifying potential bottlenecks and implementing corrective actions.
• Support digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives related to work pack development and execution.
• Maintain full traceability and documentation of changes, revisions, and approvals within PIMS.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project completion, commissioning, or construction within the oil & gas, energy, or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with PIMS or similar project information management systems.
• Proven experience in work pack development and execution planning.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other digital collaboration tools.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills.
