Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Instrument Engineer to join a Process Wellhead Platform (PWP) Commissioning Team. The role reports functionally to the Commissioning Instrument Lead and is responsible for planning, preparation, and execution of commissioning and testing activities.
The position will be based at the onshore office in Stord, with offshore mobilization as required during project execution.
Position Purpose
Ensure completion and commissioning of instrumentation systems in line with project and operational requirements
Prepare and verify readiness of instrument systems prior to dynamic testing
Execute commissioning, certification, and handover in accordance with the Project Completion Strategy
Oversee installation and commissioning of instrumentation and equipment in compliance with design specifications and safety standards
Perform functional testing and troubleshooting during commissioning
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient execution
Maintain strict compliance with HSE requirements at all times
Key Responsibilities
As part of the Commissioning Team, you will:
Contribute to project forecasts, schedules, and cost estimates within the commissioning scope
Advise and support instrument testing and verification, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements and performance standards
Manage contractors and service providers involved in instrument testing and commissioning
Collaborate closely with discipline and package teams to:
Follow up field installation to ensure correct quality and progress according to commissioning schedules
Develop, review, and execute instrument commissioning procedures
Implement commissioning activities both onshore and offshore
Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operations
Participate in pre-start-up and performance testing reviews when required
Qualifications & Requirements
BSc in Engineering or equivalent education/experience
Automation Certificate
EX Basic and EX Maintenance courses
FSE course
Experience with PIMS is an advantage
Proven experience in instrument commissioning, preferably from offshore projects
Strong HSE mindset and good collaboration skills
