Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Cost Engineer to support large and complex projects. In this role, you will be responsible for full cost engineering deliverables, ensuring accurate cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. Your work will be key to maintaining financial transparency and supporting informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee internal and external project cost reporting
Ensure accurate and consistent cost tracking across projects
Manage accruals, forecasts, cash flow inputs, invoices, and requisitions
Prepare and explain cost variances to the Finance function
Develop and maintain the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
Manage cost-related project changes (Management of Change)
Contribute to baseline updates and budget control
Identify, analyze, and track cost changes against approved budgets
Develop and manage contingency drawdown plans
Prepare and follow up on manpower projection plans and man-hour cost estimates
Correlate cost data with schedules, manpower, and productivity data
Investigate variances, highlight inconsistencies, and propose mitigating actions
Provide general project management support
Use tools such as SAP, EcoSys, Power BI, and PIMS
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in project cost engineering
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid understanding of cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting
Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, project management, and engineering teams
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
