SubContract Contract Manager
About the position
As the Sub-Contract Manager/Lead in the project, you’ll drive strategic and proactive sub-contract management to meet obligations and leverage opportunities within the contract. Reporting to the Business Manager in the project and VP of Operations and Project Management in the Offshore Wind Team, you'll drive success in dynamic environments.
Effectively manages relationships with international sub-contractors to ensure their alignment with project requirements, fostering clear communication and collaboration.
Identifies and addresses potential risks associated with sub-contractors, implementing proactive measures to minimize disruptions and ensure a smooth project execution.
Establishes and maintains processes to ensure the predictability of sub-contractor deliveries, closely monitoring progress and addressing any deviations from the project plan.
Ensures that sub-contractors adhere to contractual obligations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, conducting audits if relevant, and reviews to maintain high performance levels.
Continuously tracks and reports on sub-contractor performance, providing insights and updates to project stakeholders to ensure transparency and informed decision-making.
Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and administration of subcontract amendments and variations (VO/VOR).
Conducts subcontract awareness sessions and training for project teams.
Required Education:
Master’s degree in business administration, or Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent degree in legal education, such as a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or a Juris Doctor (J.D.)
Required Work Experience:
+10 years of proven sub-contract management results for international projects.
Offshore or construction experience is a plus.
Proven experience with FIDIC contracts, English common law, or civil law jurisdictions.
Required Qualifications:
Excellent communication, analytical and technical skills.
Proven experience in leading people through change and anchoring sub-contract ownership with stakeholders.
Experience with translating international sub-contract types to multiple stakeholders with visible outcomes.
