The Hook-up Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing the offshore hook-up scope for a new offshore installation. The role includes ensuring operational readiness during engineering and fabrication phases, coordinating resources, and leading offshore activities in alignment with project objectives for HSSE, schedule, cost, and quality.
The assignment starts with onshore preparation work, followed by an offshore hook-up campaign planned for mid-2026 to late-2026.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Readiness
Develop and maintain the hook-up execution strategy, including method statements and detailed plans.
Ensure offshore work is minimized through strong onshore readiness and prefabrication.
Prepare hook-up registers, material take-offs, and logistics plans.
Execution Management
Lead offshore hook-up activities and ensure safe and efficient operations.
Coordinate closely with the project’s completion function to ensure seamless integration.
Resource & Logistics Coordination
Plan workforce requirements and rotation schedules.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are prepared and staged prior to offshore mobilization.
HSSE Leadership
Implement zero-incident and barrier management principles.
Maintain emergency preparedness and compliance with HSSE standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with engineering, commissioning, and operations teams to maintain alignment across disciplines.
Report progress, risks, and mitigation actions to project management.
Qualifications & Competencies
Proven experience in offshore hook-up within oil and gas or similar heavy-industry projects.
Strong knowledge of constructability, logistics, and SIMOPS planning.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing multidisciplinary teams during high-activity phases.
Familiarity with governing management systems, HSSE standards, and integrated project execution models is advantageous.
