About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Project Completion Engineer (Process) to join the Yggdrasil – Hugin A project team at Aker BP. The role is responsible for the planning, execution, and supervision of Mechanical Completion (MC) and Commissioning activities for designated systems, ensuring seamless delivery and integration of the Hugin A platform.

You will play a key role in supporting the Project Team’s compliance with Aker BP’s BMS and the project mandate issued by the Asset Management Team.

Main Responsibilities

Review and verify documentation and drawings relevant to MC and Commissioning of assigned systems.

Provide engineering input and technical support during planning and execution.

Estimate and plan the commissioning scope for both onshore and offshore activities.

Independently plan and execute MC follow-up and commissioning tasks.

Participate in MC punch outs and FATs at supplier sites.

Deliver progress updates through the PIMS project completion system.

Develop, review, and implement commissioning procedures.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient execution.

Manage ATS call-offs and coordinate assistance personnel from contractors.

Ensure availability of spare parts, tools, and first fills prior to commissioning.

Lead with a strong focus on HSSE performance.

Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews.

Ensure a smooth transition from project to operations.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

BSc or MSc in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent education/experience.

Required Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry.

Proven experience with NORSOK projects.

Strong understanding of system-based commissioning.

Experience with PIMS and document management systems is an advantage.

Demonstrated ability to lead commissioning teams effectively.
