Data Engineer LCI

We are seeking to strengthen our team with a dedicated resource to enhance data quality across selected IT deliveries. The ideal candidate is an ambitious process or mechanical engineer with strong IT and data engineering capabilities.
This position requires a keen interest in data management and data science, combined with engineering domain knowledge. You will operate in a complex, multidisciplinary environment to improve data delivery across diverse and specialized systems. The role also involves developing tools and methods for assessing and monitoring data quality.
A solid understanding of offshore processes, requirements, and systems—together with proven IT competence—is essential. Prior experience from Oil & Gas EPC projects will be highly valued.
Core Responsibilities
Improve data quality within the EPC domain, with a particular focus on LCI (Life Cycle Information).
Combine engineering expertise (e.g., process or mechanical) with IT knowledge to enhance data solutions.
Maintain close communication with customers, ensuring alignment and effective demand management.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company specifications.
Promote the adoption of specifications, processes, and best practices within your area of responsibility.
Deliver high-quality, professional, and consistent support and services.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in process or mechanical engineering.
Solid understanding of LCI information and data management principles.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience with IT technologies, preferably within cloud environments (e.g., T-SQL, Azure Data Factory, REST API, C#, or database modelling).
Good grasp of IT-related processes, requirements, and systems.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
Strong engineering background with understanding of technical information and LCI.
Broad EPC and multidiscipline awareness.
Competence in data engineering and IT technical skills.
Ability to understand and conceptualize IT solutions and their intended use.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in the petroleum industry.
Certifications and Languages
Fluent in Norwegian, both written and spoken.
Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
