Project Completion Engineer – Surface Treatment Field

Location: Bærum, Norway
Work Schedule: 100% in a 13-15 rotation including night shift
Contract Period: 13/10/2025 – 30/04/2026

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Surface Treatment Field Engineer to oversee construction activities related to surface treatment and metallization. As part of the Project Construction team, the engineer will monitor all major aspects of development, report directly to the Construction Site Manager on issues impacting HSSEQ, schedule, cost, and team performance, and provide recommendations for problem-solving solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead by example in HSSEQ, promoting safety, environmental awareness, and company SAFER values.

Review technical documentation and ensure adherence to standards.

Monitor design basis for painting/metallization and maintain interface with other disciplines.

Assist in solving technical challenges during project execution and coordinate with other departments.

Implement QA/QC routines, conduct site inspections, and report non-compliance.

Participate in inspection activities per Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).

Ensure effective communication between contractors and engineering offices.

Monitor operator skills and quality of installation activities.

Track and verify MC documentation, report deviations, and ensure completion of MC dossier for handover.

Ensure proper receipt, storage, and traceability of materials.

Participate in risk assessments, HAZID/HAZOP reviews, and management of change processes.

Identify and follow up on risks, opportunities, and mitigating actions.

Education & Certification:

Bachelor’s degree, technical college, or equivalent.

FROSIO Level 3 certification or equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum 10 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry.

Strong knowledge of applicable standards, design, construction, and operations.

Experience with completion work and PIMS CMS.
