About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious Data Engineer to strengthen IT deliveries in our projects. You will play a key role in enabling robust and efficient data integration across a complex landscape of diverse and specialized systems.
The role requires a strong interest in data and data science topics, with a focus on integration development and solutions for assessing and monitoring data quality. Domain experience in offshore processes and EPC projects is highly valued, as this position will work at the interface of engineering and IT.
Core Duties
Provide professional IT services to allocated projects.
Lead and execute data integration activities across project systems.
Manage customer communication, alignment, and demand management.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company specifications.
Drive adoption of specifications, processes, and ways of working related to data management and integration.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree minimum (engineering background advantageous).
5+ years of experience with IT technologies.
Hands-on experience with some of the following:
T-SQL
Azure Data Factory
REST API
C#
Database modelling
Good understanding of IT-related processes, requirements, and systems.
Experience with LCI (Life Cycle Information) data management and usage.
Relevant experience may substitute formal education.
Skills / Abilities / Knowledge
Conceptual understanding of IT solutions and their applications.
Multidisciplinary understanding of engineering and IT interactions.
Familiarity with petroleum industry regulatory frameworks.
Certifications / Languages
Fluent in Norwegian (written & spoken).
Strong command of English (written & spoken).
Personal Qualities
Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented.
Strong communicator with excellent collaboration skills.
Open-minded team player with ability to influence and share knowledge.
Proactive and self-driven, able to manage changing priorities.
Flexible and adaptable to diverse project demands.
