Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation/Automation Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Haugesund. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the commissioning activities within the Instrumentation and Automation disciplines and ensuring a seamless transition from Mechanical Completion (MC) to Commissioning and Operation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and execution of commissioning activities within Instrumentation and Automation disciplines.

Follow up Mechanical Completion (MC) verification and ensure proper handover to commissioning.

Execute and document the handover from commissioning to operations.

Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, project team, and client representatives.

Ensure close collaboration with internal and external project stakeholders.

Contribute actively to a high standard of HSE performance throughout commissioning work.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant engineering field

Technical College background may be considered with sufficient relevant experience

Experience

Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience within commissioning, specifically in Instrumentation/Automation

Experience with commissioning methodology and procedures

Familiarity with electronic project tools and digital documentation systems is an advantage

Strong HSE mindset and ability to act as a role model for safety performance

Excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English

Certificates (Required)

EX – Basic Ex course (6–8 hours online or 22.5 hours classroom)

FSE – High and low voltage incl. first aid
