Senior Electrical Engineer

Language requirements: Norwegian is preferred but not mandatory.
Education: Bachelor/Master’s degree within relevant disciplines.
Technical College with 12 years of relevant engineering experience.
Competence and experience:
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering for modification projects is preferred, preferably with Equinor as client.
Experience working independently in multidiscipline modification projects with responsibility for detailed engineering of electrical deliveries.
Experience with electrical motors, UPSs, VSDs, switchboards, MCCs, switchgears, heat tracing, lighting, generators, control panels and/or turbines is an advantage.
Solid knowledge of area classification and Ex equipment.
Experience with low voltage, high voltage, and electrical protection systems.
Offshore survey experience is an advantage.
Familiarity with Equinor’s requirements, specifications, and work methodology is desirable.
Work tasks:
Responsible for electrical discipline deliveries in tenders, studies, and execution projects.
Responsible for estimating and planning the work scope within the electrical discipline.
Prepare design documentation, drawing packages, and perform necessary calculations and system analyses for electrical systems and distribution networks.
Deliver technical documentation according to client requirements and specifications, and update client databases with metadata.
Prepare and job-set installation work packages.
Specify and order necessary materials, including bulk and package procurement.
Package responsible for electrical packages and technical follow-up of equipment suppliers.
Collaborate with other disciplines internally and with the client.
Perform calculations for: heat tracing, lighting, voltage drop, cable sizing, etc.
Review electrical load flow, short-circuit calculations, and coordinate electrical protection.
System tools:
Required: MS Office
Preferred: Microstation, Equinor systems (STID, Procosys, SAP, ARIS), Febdok
Offshore certificate: Advantageous
