Commissioning Engineer Mechanical-Commission and Mechanical Completion

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a flexible and experienced Mechanical Engineer responsible for commissioning work within the TWEL project.
- Each team member is responsible for ensuring the quality of their work in accordance with the Project Manual, C&C Strategy, and all referenced documents.
- The Commissioning (System) Engineer will oversee commissioning preparations and execution for all relevant systems in the project, while providing support to other disciplines for interfacing commissioning activities.
- Attend weekly meetings to report on planning, status updates, challenges, and SSU (Safety, Security, and Unavailability).
- Report directly to the Commissioning Lead for the relevant system.
- Ensure all commissioning activities comply fully with the company's safety regulations.
- Prepare and execute commissioning for relevant systems or disciplines, managing Commissioning Queries (CQ).
- Participate in Mechanical Completion (MC) verification to achieve Ready for Commissioning (RFC) status and facilitate smooth transitions from construction to commissioning.
- Perform commissioning preparation checks on all systems and associated equipment.
- Handle activities related to commissioning packages and their handover to operations.
- Update and maintain commissioning procedures as necessary.
- Follow up on punch list items and ensure clearance and documentation in the field.
- Ensure that all changes identified during commissioning are marked on drawings/documents and that as-built documentation is updated accordingly.
- Maintain effective communication with other disciplines, offshore contractor representatives, and the Operations/Plant Integrity team.
- Coordinate with ATS supplier representatives and commissioning subcontractors to ensure the completion of their scope according to commissioning call-out requests.
- Identify and address areas of concern, propose corrective actions, and contribute to progress reporting of commissioning activities as per established routines.
Required Expertise:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5–7 years of mechanical commissioning experience. Significant relevant experience may compensate for less formal education.
- Familiarity with company work processes (ARIS), Technical Requirements (TR), and tools such as ProCoSys is preferred.
- Strong team player with collaborative skills, high ethical standards, and a strong safety mindset.
Language Requirements: Fluent in both English and Norwegian.
Work Location: Primarily onshore with sporadic offshore work. The main location will be Bergen, but some travel to other locations such as Kollsnes and Stord will be required. During certain periods, most of the work will be offshore.
Contract Period: ASAP – 30.12.2025
